Maeda's Hinaokoshi
In the city of Uwajima, Ehime Prefecture, we have long preserved the craft of traditional Japanese confectionery. "Hinaokoshi," essential for the Hina-matsuri season, is a traditional flavor passed down through generations in this region.
Maeda's Hinaokoshi is roasted using a rotary open-flame roaster. Its crispy texture and rich, fragrant flavor will make your Hina-matsuri celebrations even more vibrant.
Uwajima's Traditional "Nigiri-mame" Method
In Uwajima, Ehime, there is a tradition of making Hina Arare as "Nigiri-mame." It is a unique local method where arare (rice crackers) are carefully coated with starch syrup and shaped by hand.
By shaping them one by one by hand, the gentle sweetness of the starch syrup spreads throughout the arare, creating a distinctively crisp texture and a perfectly balanced sweetness that unfolds in your mouth.
