- Domestic Shiratamako (glutinous rice flour) 150g

Shiratamako Made from 100% Domestic Glutinous Rice

Since our founding in 1924, we have spent over 100 years working with rice and grains. The commitment to "rice flour" that we have cultivated for over half a century since we began selling rice flour in 1973 is brought to life in this Shiratamako.
Made from 100% domestic glutinous rice, this Shiratamako features a mochi-mochi (chewy) texture and a smooth mouthfeel. It is an essential ingredient for making various Japanese sweets, such as strawberry daifuku, shiratama dumplings, and fruit punch.
What is Shiratamako? Difference from Mochiko
Shiratamako is made using a traditional process: the glutinous rice is washed, milled with water, soaked in water, and then the sediment is dried. It is characterized by having finer particles than mochiko.
This water-based production method results in a chewy elasticity and a smooth mouthfeel. It tastes delicious even when chilled and can be used for various Japanese sweets such as fruit punch, shiratama dumplings, and strawberry daifuku.
Strictly Selected Domestic Ingredients
We use only domestic glutinous rice as the main ingredient for our Shiratamako.
Because we use 100% domestic glutinous rice, you can use it with peace of mind and enjoy making authentic Japanese sweets at home.
